In The Fall

It started in the fall

Sunlight on her hair

It whispered to the moon

Stars took it all from there,

Now that was long ago

But the orchestra still plays

Notes of love and laughter

As it did in those early days,

Yes it started in the fall

With sunlight on her hair

When the moon and stars

Stitched them as a pair.

One Day

One day I said,

One day I will hold

You close,

Feel your breath

On my neck,

The press of your

Nipples on my chest,

The heat of your lips

Mouthing mine,

One day I said,

One day I will follow,

Follow where you

Will lead me.

Virgin Seasons

  So here we are,

Spring flirting with us

Into the last week

Of April,

Like some of the

 Sweet strangers

On MySpace,

That mystical mysterious

Masquerade that was

Until a billionaire

 Blew it up,

That place that Facebook

And the new come alongs

Will never capture,

Back to spring,

If it doesn’t get

Its clothes off soon

It will be summer and

Spring two-thousand twelve

Will be relegated to the annals

Of virgin seasons,

Seasons that never

Were.

Last Wednesday Of The Month

 It was like any other

Last Wednesday of the month,

Wednesday came at midnight

And left at midnight,

In between those hours

Welfare money was spent

On booze and drugs,

The streets echoed with

Drunken conversation,

Police and fire truck sirens,

And eerie cries and moans

From the high, the inebriated,

And those suffering from

Various mental illnesses,

Some who saw raised their

Hands palms up with a

Shrug and what can you do,

Those who didn’t see

Or pretended they didn’t

Hurried away to their

Homes and apartments.

Tits Up

So they tell us

Solar fares are on

The move,

The sun’s

About to shift

Its poles

And the earth

Is getting restless,

I don’t know

Where this

 Finds you,

But my phone

Went garbly

Twice today,

My computer sits

On the death

Of blue,

If it all

Goes tits up

Overnight,

I’ll never see

You naked.

In The Surreal World

In the surreal world of

How far have we come

I ran into a virgin writing

A self help how to book

On the intricacies of love,

Sex and intimate relationships,

It brought to mind a picture of

A politician reading a speech

About open and transparent

Government, honesty and integrity,

The politicians are beyond hope or help

But there’s always the possibility that the

Virgin will get screwed and write a sequel.

Off The Rails

A new moon past

Midnight

Thoughts off of

The rails,

A red head sweet

Smiling

Aloft in the

Sails,

A drunk with

A chai tea

A man with

A horn,

A group of
Street people

Tattered and torn,

It’s spring

On The Island

The sun’s

Peeping through,

Thoughts about

Meeleirrek

Dance out

Of the blue.
