Sometimes Mornings

Sometimes mornings

Are a time stand still,

That interlude between

Shift changes

When nothing seems

To be happening,

But the unseen magic

Is still there,

Much like the energy

Racing between

A man and a woman,

Sensing the desire,

Fighting the urgency,

Never connecting

This time around.
