Confessions

Years ago I stopped writing

For fear that I might offend

Or give someone the wrong idea,

Many years later after a poke from

An Australian Goddess’s pen,

A Kundalini Awakening,

I started writing again,

I find I do offend some

I give some the wrong idea,

For a moment I thought

Perhaps I should stop,

But only for a brief moment

Because I realized I don’t control

What goes on in your head,

Should you see your woman

Dancing in the lines,

Maybe she is,

Maybe she’s not,

The solution is simple,

Stop reading.

  1. I like this poem. It’s like a big “Fuck you” to the world. You’re right; you can’t let the people control what you write. Write for the sake of writing; write for yourself. Thanks for sharing.
