Truth & Illusion

If there is such a thing

As truth,

It is not always beauty

As Keats would have

Us believe,

Sometimes truth is

Simply ugly as hell,

Perhaps that is why

Discrediting, persecuting,

Killing the messenger

Is accepted easier than

Truth itself,

If there is such a thing

As truth,

Most of us perpetuate

The misconceptions,

Add warm and fuzzy

Feelings to the illusion

Until the illusion becomes

The truth,

And truth becomes the

Conspiracy, the illusion.
