Similarities

The rock band

At the church service

Reminded me

Of stripper music,

The boom boom

Take me up

To your room stuff,

But then the band

Isn’t the attraction

At a strip bar,

I suppose there’s

Similarities,

Naked women at one

The naked word

At the other.

    • Actually, the twain have met many a time, and hopefully will always continue to do so… Jesus, who is head of the true church, has such women in his lineage (Rahab… See Joshua 6 and Matthew 1:5 … And Bathsheba… See 2 Samuel 11 and Matthew 1:7), He also commonly made a point of interacting with women of disreputable backgrounds (a women with 5 husbands… See John 4… And a promiscuous woman… See Luke 7:36-50). He always shows scandalous grace to such people, and many of them are changed forever because of His love. The “naked word” records Jesus saying, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.” (Mark 2:17 and Luke 5:31) Jesus frequently called down so-called “religious” people for their arrogance and hypocrisy. I am certain that if any so-called church these days does not respond to people with this same love, they really aren’t truly living up to what Jesus meant, and they are doing him an unfortunate disservice. I hope grace is shown to both parties concerned, because the Good Lord knows I’ve camped in both. Anyway, I’m glad you liked the music, Stephen! 😉 ❤
