Progress

In our days of

Invincibility

We stopped at

Gas station chains

For cheap gas,

Bad coffee,

And even worse

Premade sandwiches,

In those days

Of cold hotdogs,

Great beer,

Strong whiskey

And sweet wine,

We lived and dined

As if we were never ending,

Today many shuffle the isles

Fingering GMO’d tomatoes,

Wrinkled organic things,

Processed packages,

And smile at progress.
