Cal 20

He came

In a brisk blow

In a Cal 20,

Spent the rest

Of the day

And the next

Loading store bought

Things,

Then slipped off

Into the fog

While others with

Sophisticated boats,

Radar and such,

Debated whether or not

They should leave

The harbour.

In That Place

In that place

Where a million dreams

Bob at the end

Of ropes,

Some new,

Some old,

Some faded,

Some morphed

Into nightmares,

Some neglected,

Forgotten,

In that place

Where dreams dance

To the rhythm

Of halyards tapping

On masts,

In that place

Of a million dreams

I hold fast

To the ones

Inspired by you.
