In The Full Moon

 In the full moon

With the skies

Tinged with teal,

The mind urged

By the heart

To recall the unreal,

In the full moon

Of that time

That now is but dreams,

Where reality

And illusion

Blend at the seams.

With all the skims, the scams,

The lies, the craziness

In the world,

It sometimes gets

A bit heavy,

But every now and then

An Isaak comes along,

A young person

With character, integrity,

Action that balances

The scales,

One who

Leaves you smiling,

Contemplating the beauty,

The joy of being human.

Over The Edge

It was nearly at the point
Of over the edge with
Political correctness,
If you wrote about women
You were sexist,
If you wrote about people
You were racist,
If you wrote about
Governments and politics
You were a terrorist,
If you wrote about love
You were a sentimentalist,
And there were always
Myopic self-appointed critics
Rubbing their bony or fat fingers
Together jumping all over paper.
