By ten in the evening
On October nineteenth
Two-thousand and fifteen,
The world was good
For many Canadians,
The Jays had beaten
The Royals and were
Now trailing two games
To one,
Justin Trudeau
Had done the seemingly impossible
Crushing Stephen Harper by winning
A one-hundred and eighty-four seat majority,
Taking those who had been there before
Back to nineteen-sixty-eight,
Giving those who weren’t there
A surreal taste of Trudeaumania.
