People arrived at the

Climate Change Rally

And march

Much like the ban

Fracing, ban pipelines,

Ban tankers, ban whatever

Arriving in vans, cars, suvs,

Trucks, four wheel drives,

Fiery speeches aimed at industry

And governments, a quick walk

Then back into their vehicles to

We’re a funny bunch,

It’s always something or someone

Always That Moment

It’s always that moment

Of realization,

Whether in

Quiet contemplation

Or in the midst

Of an energy spin,

It’s always that moment

That leaves you wondering,

What could have been,

What might have been,

What is.

As we sit

O the edge

Of goodbye 1140

And hello 1995,

One can’t help but think

About all of the edges

We’ve jumped from

Jumped to

Fell off of

Clung to,

Funny thing edges,

Like love

They can feel the best

And hurt the most

All in a blink

Of an eye.

Life Smiles

Life is funny

In its way,

Ever presenting

To those too shy

To take the stage,

Encouraged by the talk

Of others about

The dangers and risks,

Discussing over coffee

And beers

The hows and whys

We can’t do

This or that,

Seemingly unaware

That life itself

Is a risk.
