Chirps And Waves

I’ve heard chirps

Felt waves,

The bending of time

The stalling of time

The racing of time,

Been caught up
In black holes

That in truth

Were more light

With hues of rainbows,

Always preceded by signs

That I’m sure Einstein

Knew well,

Smiles, dancing eyes

And intoxicating perfume.

Of course there are clues

The old man said,

 Plato’s Cave, Animal Farm,

1984, and others,

But most are too tied up

In their toys and trinkets

To consider what they

Call myths and fiction

From troubled minds

Of other eras,

We perpetuate the illusions,

Blind and deaf to those

Who would dispel them,

Snuggled in closed minds

There is a mystifying

Security in ignorance.

The Leafs and the Canucks

Lost again,

Perhaps hidden in their

Losing seasons

Is some comfort

For those who don’t

Like changes,

On The Island it

Rained again,

The losing dreariness

Broken by a woman

With mystic eyes,

Sparkling like clear blue

Caribbean skies

And for a moment,

It was as if

Trains were alive
