Honk

A sign at an encampment

On the city hall lawns read,

“Honk if you’re for homelessness”,

I didn’t honk,

I think everyone

Should have a home

However humble it may be.

Mystery Of The Heart

Who really knows

The mystery of the heart,

From where you are

To there in a flash of time,

Fortunate,

Unfortunate,

Depends on which side

You are looking at it from,

But then,

You’ve been there,

The ecstasy,

The pain,

You know it well

And yet,

You cannot tell,

Cannot explain,

The mystery of the heart.
