Dreamers

It was houses and boats

And the notes we wrote

To ourselves,

With plans and charts

Landscapes and voyages

That kept us moving on,

One foot after the other,

Some said dreamers,

Dreamers,

But we smiled to ourselves

And bought lottery tickets

And long shot investments

And wrote notes that read,

What is a life without dreams?

  1. Loved reading this poem. Indeed life’s nothing without dreams and only a dreamer can understand this. You’re welcomed to check out my poems on my site.
