Holding On To The Moon

Holding on to the moon

What else to do ?

The days of the scorching sun

And the whistling wind

Had long passed,

The moon seemed as quiet

As their lives now were,

As cold as their bones

In the late night air,

And all the romance

Of the long love affair,

Danced in their stare

Holding on to the moon.
