Whistle Blowers

So a congress

Spent millions of dollars

Of taxpayers’ money

On an inquiry

Based on unknown,

Secret whistle blowers,

And conclusions from some

Based on he said that she said

She heard that he said that she

Heard that he said,

While two of perhaps

The most significant

Whistleblowers

Of our time,

Snowden and Assange

Have been forced into hiding

And exile.

Remembering

The dude in the politically

Correct uniform,

The gal in the inclusive

Silk gown,

Disappeared into the shadows

Leaving minds questioning

The legitimacy of things

And the craziness

Of it all,

Many remembered lovers

And things that happened,

Things that didn’t happen

But should have

In those days

When Life

And love

Were

Real.
